Summary/Abstract: This paper aims to examine the concept of “good governance” within the theoretical perspective of the English School, focusing especially in the debate surrounding international and world society concepts. The paper argues that a premise of “good governance” contributes to the materialization of the world society. Good governance tends to lead states in making them internally similar, referring the shared norms and values that shape them even in individual level. The debate on the degree of extension and expansion of international society between pluralism and solidarism approach provides ground to discuss the link of world society and good governance concepts. It is mainly focused on the issues concerning human rights and homogeneity of the international structures of states.
