Summary/Abstract: Grammar syncretism is understood as discrepancy between form and contents of the language sign. Syncretic phenomena include both the issues when contents are in contradiction with their forms, and so-called transition phenomena. The article deals with syncretic phenomena at the syntactical level of the Russian language and they are compared with analogical phenomena in the Czech language. Syncretic phenomena of subordinative relations, sentence members and modal types of sentences are focused on, in particular. Results of the research can be of importance for the theory of language, teacher-training and translatology applied research.
