Patent system in the innovation process

Summary/Abstract: Ability to achieve and maintain competitiveness advantage by the entrepreneurs make an impulse to continuous improvement and implementation variety innovations. Effective management of the innovation process require efficient use of the patent system tools on each stage of the innovation process. It has got a decisive influence on elaborate, implement and share innovations. The aim of this article is to present the assumptions of the model, which uses tools of patent system for making decisions on each stages of the innovation process. In this elaboration has been used statistic data shared by the World Intellectual Property Organization, Polish Patent Office and European Patent Office.
