Summary/Abstract: Nowadays interdisciplinary collaboration is a significant demand of a scientific world as it provides the opportunity to search for solutions of new and still unrecognized fields of knowledge. Moreover it brings us the possibility to obtain results of compound problems of practice. Numerous universities declare their openness and readiness to go across their disciplines through realizing scientific partnership projects. Thus, one should answer the question: to what extent do Polish scientific institutions fulfill this demand? The aim of this paper is to analyze the range of interdisciplinary collaboration in West Pomeranian University of Technology in Szczecin. Egocentric network analysis, based on data from POL-on (integrated information system about higher education in Poland), enabled to characterize university’s internal interdisciplinary collaboration, which is highly limited (relationships occur only within technical sciences). There is a low internal integration of the university which was established by joining two different centers (Szczecin University of Technology and the Agricultural Academy in Szczecin). On the other hand particular faculties of the university show potential of cooperation with external entities, including business.
