Summary/Abstract: Information and communication technologies currently used in supporting management perform functions relating to the analysis of information, the links between economic values , knowledge management, but does not support the process of analysis of the meaning of phenomena occurring in the company environment. Increasingly, there is also a need to automatically making decisions based not only on knowledge but also on the basis of experience, which previously was regarded as a human’s domain.In order to implement automatic decision-making the cognitive agents can be used. They allow not only fast access to information and quickly find information of interest to us , to analyze it and draw conclusions, but also, in addition to responding to stimuli from the environment, having the cognitive ability to enable learning through empirical experience gained by direct interaction with the environment. Consequently they allow to the automatic generation of variants of the decision, and in many cases even automatically making and implementing decisions. The purpose of this article is therefore to provide the possibility of using the technology of cognitive agent to support organization management. In the first part of the article characteristics, a structure and functioning of cognitive agents, has been described. Next, the examples of using the cognitive agents in supporting selected areas of the organization, has been analyzed.
