Summary/Abstract: This paper presents the problem of human dignity on the basis of the theory of biopolitics by Giorgio Agamben. In fact, its sovereignty category consisting of “inclusive exclusion of bare life” refers to the distinction between immanent and social value of life. According to this fact, it will be possible to answer the question if one can say that, especially in democratic systems, the unit located in the social environment has significant autonomy to make important decisions about human existence itself. It is also a question of the legitimacy of that autonomy and its scope ‒ we ask where the demarcation line of individual autonomy is and, therefore, at which point it is no longer the existential decisions about itself.
