Summary/Abstract: History of Sivrihisar which has been host for various civilizations in the history dates back to Hittite period. Sivrihisar come forward as a military city in Byzantine period, used intensive when Seljuk’s entered into Anatolia, continued its importance in Period of Principalities and Ottoman period and becomes a country of Eskişehir province in 1912. With the settlement pattern and contribution of transportation facilities, Sivrihisar has preserved its traditional texture. In present day, rapid urbanisation, technology, differentiated life styles, dense migration all threaten the conservation of conventional texture. The aim of this article is to examine the spatial structure changes of Sivrihisar in time and make proposal for the acceleration of regional economy, conservation of the conventional housing texture with conservation structural plan. Within the study, spatial characteristics of the Sivrihisar houses are discussed, and proposals are given for conservation of the area in sustainability context, to reveal the touristic potential of the settlement and to enable this potential for the contribution to the regional economic structure.
