Local Government Employees Right to Strike

Summary/Abstract: This article presents an analysis of legal position of the employees in local governments in Republic of Serbia, with a particular emphasis on their right to strike. Strike Act (1996) was taken into account as a starting point, as well as other regulations related to the position of employees in local government bodies and organizations. Given the fact that the draft version of the new Strike Act goes through a public hearing for a quite long time now, special attention was paid to the scope of the right to strike granted to local public servants and employees.
