The Treatment of Murderers in Special Penitentiary Programs

Summary/Abstract: As one of the most serious criminal offences, murder imposes the need for introducing special penitentiary programs which are primarily aimed at re-socializing the perpetrators of these criminal offences. For this reason, the author provides examples of good practice in the process of re-socialization of convicted murderers. The re-socialization program is embodied in cognitive therapy and other special programs aimed at preventing prospective violent behavior and recidivism.
