Summary/Abstract: The aim of amateur music education is not to make the individual artist; to help the development of music taste to individuals and contribute to the development of society and the culture of that community as much as individuals. Duties are devoted to institutions that provide professional music education in order to spread and develop amateur music education and to direct everyone to amateur music. Organizations that provide professional music education should not forget that amateur music education supports professional music education and in this respect they should support this training by organizing such activities as festivals, workshops etc. for amateur musicians. The State Conservatory of Afyon Kocatepe University believed in the necessity of supporting the education of amateur music by institutions providing professional music education and carried out the first "Amateur Instrumentalists Concert" in 2007. The concerts, which have developed from the year 2007 to the present day and won a festival identity, made a great contribution to music education, especially to amateur music education in Afyonkarahisar. In this research, an open-ended questionnaire about the acquisitions to the music teachers and their families and the participants of the "Amateur Instrumentalists Festival" organized regularly by the State Conservatory of Afyon Kocatepe University for 11 years has been carried out and a number of suggestions have been made by evaluating the obtained data.
