FORM AND COMPOSITION UNDERSTANDING ON THE MURALIST OSMAN'S STYLE

Summary/Abstract: Muralist Osman who impressed other muralists of the period with his style and was prominent with his meticulous and clean artworks had also become a determinant of the Ottoman miniature style of the classical period. On the Article, in order to reach more precise knowledge about the features of Muralist Osman's specific style, the miniatures attributed to him were determined from written sources and such miniatures were examined in terms of subject, form and composition. Knowing the classics and creating new designs based on these rules are important for the prevention of the degeneration of today's miniatures and the continuity of our tradition. The aim of the essay is to contribute to the introduction of the form and composition of the classical Ottoman miniature style.
