Summary/Abstract: The problem of the nation was in the centre of attention of the ideologists associated with the New Zionist Organization, due to the nationalist nature of the movement set up and led by Włodzimierz Żabotyński. The revisionists tried to look at the matter from various angles; they say the nation as the supreme community, to which the interests of individual social groups (workers, women, etc.) and individuals would be subordinated. They set great store by the upbringing of the youth where Betar was the most important instrument. They had the ambition to create a new type of a Jew and a new nation, free of the legacy of the Diaspora. Some elements of the revisionist thought would justify classifying it as an element of the tradition of European nationalism and authoritarianism.
