Summary/Abstract: In this article we intend to analyze the crime of unauthorized reproduction on computer systems of computer programs in any of the following ways: installation, storage, running or executing, displaying or transmitting within the internal network, as provided in article 4 of Law no. 8/1996 on copyright and related rights. The software component of a computer consists of programs designed to ensure the management and control of processing and conducting routine works. The program is a collection of commands (which are also called instructions) and operations that are set on the computer. The software has three categories of programs: Firmware-instructions that come into direct contact with the physical component of the computer, the operating system-all programs that coordinate all the activities of the computing system and application programs-all programmes aimed at solving specific problems.
