Summary/Abstract: Corruption is an important social phenomenon affecting entrepreneurship and thus the level ofdevelopment of the whole economy. The aim of this article is to present the heterogeneity ofthe impact of corruption on entrepreneurship. A research hypothesis is verified which points tothe curvilinearity of the impact of corruption on the level of early entrepreneurship. Empiricalstudy was conducted on the basis of panel data for 21 European countries. Using three differentestimators, econometric models were developed to explain the level of early entrepreneurship bythe quadratic and logarithmic function of corruption. The results confirm that corruption affectsthe non-linearity entrepreneurship, and this relationship is U-shaped. This is the result of a similarstudy conducted by Anokhin and Schulze in 2009. These studies are consistent with the observedpatterns in the economy, as developing countries are experiencing far greater entrepreneurialgrowth as a result of the decline in corruption than economically developed countries. Obtainedresults is undoubtedly the added value of this article.
