Historia seksuologii. Zwiastuny myśli seksuologicznej.

Summary/Abstract: From antiquity to modern times research on issues related to sexuality were conducted on a limited basis. Direct studies on sexuality have been initiated in the nineteenth century. The main interest was given to the sexual pathology covering a wide range of sexual variants evolved based on non-medical standards. In this way have been determined basic knowledge about disorders of sexual preferences. An important object of the clinical investigation became homosexuality, initially described from the affirmative perspective, and later universally pathologized. The author of the first concept of interdisciplinary science focused on sexuality is Paolo Mantegazza. In the nineteenth century were introduced a prototype methods of treating sexual dysfunction and the first attempts of sex education and research on sexuality using questionnaires. The development of research on sexuality allow for the emergence of sexology.
