Summary/Abstract: Music, since prehistorical ages, has accompanied to the people on their songs, dances, ceremonies, in modern days with natural evolution it has replaced as an essential element also for cinema. The correlation among cinema and music has started with using music in presenting animated images and has shown diversified development even to soundtrack in recent times. The reply of questions of "Why music on cinema exists" and "Why it is used" has shown variety along ongoing process. Surely technological developments and revolutionary changes that created by these developments has shaped the relation of cinema-society and cinema-music. This article has been written with aim to emphasize the significance of soundtrack and its role in cinema and to show its progress all along the history.
