Summary/Abstract: The aim of this article is to show difficulties linked with a universalistic approach to a concept of sexual health. In each culture it can be formulated directly or it can function in a hidden way as a collection of social norms. Examples of sexology development in Arabic countries and in China show difficulties linked to a directly formulated concept of sexual health and the comparison between roles that sexual behaviors functions play in western and Arabic cultures show difficulties linked to a hidden concept of sexual health.
