Summary/Abstract: The inevitable character of modernity to push rigidly forward the new one, is based on its notion of continuous development and has shown it's evidence at first in the arts. From the 18th century on, with the evolving movements in art, the actual subject of art has evolved and led to different understandings of the object at different levels. The last century was a hasty procession of new artistic discourses; one coming to word before the latter ended his speech. Of course is the postmodern reaction to be understood as a part of the modernity, but it's harsh explanations show more of an opposite attitude. As today's art has reached incomprehensibility, it may now worth considering postmodernism as a new hope for the future of mankind, in social-economical as in artistic means.
