Summary/Abstract: The author points out that religion makes strong comeback from the realm of the repressed. Since sacredness as a subject matter has reentered the humanities, one may be tempted to claim that it is impossible to escape religion. That’s why any way of reasoning, even the most secular one, has a hidden theological nature, a pattern which the authors calls “cryptotheology”.
