Effects of the reform of the leading and command system of the Armed Forces in the Republic of Poland on the situation of the Special Forces at the beginning of 2014

Summary/Abstract: The article elaborates on the current research problem. Subject matter of changes and their effects is often taken by researchers, especially by the military. One of the areas in which the consequences of the reformers’ actions are most visible is the Special Forces. The author tries to show changes that have been made, and how they influenced the structure and functioning of this type of armed forces. By critical analysis he points out numerous disadvantages of the approved solutions. He also suggests changes that would allow to restore the efficiency of the system of Special Forces in Poland. The author treats the above as a starting point in a discussion and a way to develop optimal solutions that take Polish circumstances into consideration. The text is based on analysed source materials, as well as accompanying assessments and conclusions.
