Summary/Abstract: In the context of sustainable development of Romania, in 2014–2020, education, initial and continuing vocational training and social research will contribute substantial to develop human capital. This is all the more important as Romania’s economy will have to face competitiveness in increasingly fierce in the single European and global market. The study addresses the issue of strengthening social cohesion and combating poverty, because we found discrepancies at regional level, concerning access to education and training and the employment of labor. The results obtained, after the analysis, required the formulation of possible measures that could be adopted, in the coming years, in terms of social inclusion and combating poverty, promote employment and support labor mobility, access to education and skills training as well and lifelong learning.
