„HOMELAND“ COLLECTION OF NATIONAL AND UNIVERSITY LIBRARY “DERVIŠ SUŠIĆ” IN TUZLA

Summary/Abstract: Homeland collections can be established in all institutions thatare heritage preservers, cultural and historical heritage - archives, libraries and museums. In the National and University Library “Derviš Sušic” in Tuzla thelocal collection was systematically collected, processed and, as a separate value,organized. The collection represents material for the history of the development of the material and spiritual culture of Tuzla and its surroundings, that is, the Tuzla Canton. The notion of an indigenous collection is defined by a review of the legalregulations that determine this collection as part of a national library fund withinpublic, national libraries. Also, in the content of the Collection, the material, in its form and content, is very rich and varied, as well as its role in illuminating the history of the country, its social structure, artistic creativity, the creative reach of significant individuals, and other specific features of the cultural and historical heritage of the Tuzla Canton. In the work of the Collection, cooperation with the academic community in the field of scientific research was realized, as well as the role of the Collection in the promotion of local communities, and it demonstrated the way in which these tasks are realized.
