Summary/Abstract: The article presents the attitude of Polish Communist authorities towards Father Franciszek Blachnicki and the Light‑LifeMovement as expressed in the special report prepared by Aleksander Merker, Director of the Office for Religious Affairs in Warsaw.The document was intended for internal use by the Office’s employees as well as Polish security apparatus and party leaders. In the report, Aleksander Merker described the figure of Fr. Blachnicki as well as the origins and main assumptions of the Light‑LifeMovement.He illustrated the symbolism and structure of the Movement. In the conclusions, a very important part of the report, the director of the Office for Religious Affairs identified major threat associated with the development of the Movement which created élites of Catholic organisations and successfully competed with Communist party‑controlled youth organisations, especially the Polish Scouting and Guiding Association.
