Summary/Abstract: Nutrition is one of the basic living activities in human beings. Qur’an which encompasses human life with its all aspects and sunnah as its explication, gave a special attention to the nutrition and identified a number of principles about its nature and goal. Because, according to the Qur’an and the Sunnah the nutrition for human beings who has been created to worship is the basic of life that is the greatest blessing end owed with him. As well, that the value which food stuffs have in relation to halal or haram and clean or dirty has left deep traces on the human personality, both positively and negatively. There is a strong relation between the activity of eating and drinking in terms of the amount and frequency and human spirituality. This fact stands before us as a fact which is itself a psychological reality. In this regard, we will try to examine the principles that the Qur’an and the Sunnah put about the nutrition and its effects on the human personality.
