Summary/Abstract: Maraş has a strategic position in the Mediterranean, Eastern Anatolia and South-eastern Anatolian Regions. Due to its geographical location, the city has been the centre of inter-state struggle since ancient times. Maraş province has been known with different names until today. The most striking of these is the one that means a sense of shaking. Maraş was one of our southern provinces in the National Struggle. Along with the efforts of Mustafa Kemal to establish the National Organization, the organization of local people in accordance with their own means has been an exemplary organization in our country. In the Maraş Struggle, the names of the districts where the events and organizations occurred are given together with old and new ones to make the events that happened more understandable. The province was first occupied by the French after the British. While there was not any significant negativity during the British occupation period, the fact that the French made alliance with the Armenians in the French period caused some negative occurrences in Maras. Sütçü İmam and Bayrak incident, which took place in the city during the French occupation period, revealed that the people could do everything for the sake of the country. Maras martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the sake of the homeland were not forgotten and which martyr of the homeland from which district was killed was tried to be expressed. Finally, it was tried to be revealed that how much merciless massacres the Armenians, who were living a friendly life until before the National Struggle, did by murdering even new-born babies during the National Struggle in Maras.
