Summary/Abstract: Aşık Kurbani, the founder of Azerbaijan minstrel literature, lived in the 16th century. The biography of Kurbani, no information about life on historcal sources, is based on his poems and the tale told in his name. His poems and his tale reached from oral sources and manuscript sources reached to these days by variance over time. Since there is a grown up in Azerbaijan (North and South), there have been numerous publacations on Kurbani’s variants of his poems and his tale or on his poems reviews. The poems and tale of Aşık Kurbani took part in manuscripts and verbal sources in Anatolia. The collection of verbal sources related to this topic was made near the Azerbaijan area (Eastern Anatolia Region) while the manuscript sources were written in different regions of Anatolia. In this article, a manuscript and a recorded Kurbani’s tale in this manuscript were studied. The mentioned manuscript variant is published for the first time in this article. In our study are introduced Aşık Kurbani also provides information about resources and work in Turkey. In addition, The episodes of the Kurbani and Perüzat tale, which we call the Çorum Manuscript Variant, are shown.
