THE IMPACT OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE ON SECURITY

Summary/Abstract: The great powers of the world are engaged in an unprecedented artificial intelligence arms race, with at least four of the five permanent members of the Security Council placing AI at the centre of their current security and development strategies. This article presents the most important elements related to the impact of the IA on security and to the main competitors from the AI arm race. The proper use and implementation of the latest findings in the field of Advances in AI will affect national security by driving change in three areas: military superiority, information superiority, and economic superiority.
