Summary/Abstract: The experience of the period between the two world wars, when there were no framework rules in the international monetary field to ensure the stability of the exchange instruments and a harmonious development of relations between countries in the field of trade and foreign economic cooperation, determined at the beginning of the 4th decade, World War II is not yet finished, a concern to create an international monetary order who, after the end of the war, to ensure collaboration between countries through a permanent institution. This institution would provide the technical tools for consultation, to facilitate the expansion and development of countries, etc. Among the proposals made for the realization of such an international monetary order, the final confrontation took place between the American and English(White Plan and Keynes Plan), finally winning the American formula.
