LOGISTICAL MANAGEMENT OF MILITARY EQUIPMENT

Summary/Abstract: The combination between the introduction of new technologies and the environment politics as a response of new performance requirements, the social pressures, the requirements of reducing the necessary time to develop and bring out to the market a new system for the clients and the need to increase the life cycle of the system represents a big challenge. It is observed that many of the currently used systems don’t respond adequately nor to user's requirements or the needs of cost -effectiveness and support functions / logistical support. This happens when the available resource diminishes and the international competition becomes stronger. That is the reason why the logistics management of life cycle system, or product/technology, has an important role.
