Summary/Abstract: Directorate for Creating Information Resources comprises three separate divisions and its basic structure of departments as well as the activities performed are briefly presented in this paper. Some statistical data for the last five years have also been presented which illustrate the most important quantitative indicators related to the acquisition of the Library collections, the control over the implementation of the Legal Deposit Legislation of Printed and Other Works, cataloging of library materials, the compilation and publishing of the Current National Bibliography, the assign of International Standard Number for publications and organizations (ISBN, ISMN, ISSN, ISIL), the maintenance of the Archive of Bulgarian Literature, the Statistical Report of the National Book Publishing Output etc.
