Summary/Abstract: In this review I talk about some interesting presentations and about the excellent organization of the conference “Special Collections in the Context of Cultural Heritage Protection and Cultural Development Fostering”. Then I briefly present my report there – “Challenges and opportunities in the preservation of manuscript and documentary heritage in the National Libraryin Sofia”.
