Author(s): Abdulah ŠarčevićSubject(s): Aesthetics, Contemporary Philosophy
Published by: Akademija Nauka i Umjetnosti Bosne i Hercegovine
Summary/Abstract: The author deals with the theme of modern and postmodern aesthetics from the standpoint of reconstruction of fundamental thoughts of Adorno's aesthetic theory and the criticism of philosophy of history. He deals with the elements of the crisis of the Modern whose constelation is the basis for both art and philosophy in search of their logicism. Šarčević considers the internal relationship between philosophy and art, specific artistic experience that can be formulated only by way of aesthetic theory. He discusses the altered notion of truth, distinctions in the notion of truth. This involves the meaning of utopia, dialectics of salvation and reconcilliation, critics of identyfing mind. However, the author opens the horizon of the immanent critism: from the mythologic origin of notions to problematic scheme of postmodern aesthetics.
