Summary/Abstract: In Poland at the end of 2016, only 5.5% of working people, had an Individual Pension Account (IKE). This indicates a low propensity to collect private retirement savings, that is inconsistent with the life cycle hypothesis. One of the potential reasons may be the assumption, about full knowledge. The aim of this study is impact definition of information dissemination about low replacement rates, for propensity to save on Individual Pension Accounts (IKE). The analysis, basing on the annual IKE information, has been made using five factors in two periods (2004 – 2010 and 2011–2016). The results are not conclusive, but confirm the thesis about increase of IKE popularity after 2011.
