Summary/Abstract: Disasters represent an outstanding threat for the sustainable development and yearly generate many human casualties and material losses. This millennium’s beginning is characterized by an emphasized impact of human activities over the Earth. For 1980-2000, are forecasts 75% from world’s population was damaged at least one time by a disaster (earthquake, tropical cyclone, flood, drought, etc.). For the future, these types of dangers will multiply and the vulnerabilities to those will rise. Does represent natural disasters with variable intensity a significant threat against humans and planet’s security?
