Summary/Abstract: The new security environment - on European, Euro-Atlantic and Eurasian level- was reconfigured by NATO and EU enlargement, resettlement of the power centers based on some strategic partnership support and fight for resources. These strategic corridors need to be considered and analyzed both from an optimistic perspective (due to the partnerships) and in a less optimistic one, connected with the history’s lessons and phantoms, population mix, different religions, cultures, prejudices and the interests’ game involved in this fight for resources.
