Summary/Abstract: In several instances, methyl group was found to play a pivotal role when present in a molecule. Its hydrophobic character has been the key success factor for specific performances when lipophilicity is the basic requirement for a phenomenon to occur. In some cases, chemical reactivity and physical phenomena are specifically linked to the effects of methyl group.
