Summary/Abstract: The article is devoted to biography and scientific activity of PhD, Professor Vladislav Alexandrovich Kutuzov. The author talks about the major events in the life of the historian, which led to the formation of his scientific interests. This article analyzes such iconic works of V. A. Kutuzov as the ‘Leningrad Affair’, ‘Committee of Public Safety in the besieged Leningrad’, an article in the book ‘The Great Patriotic War: truth and fiction’. The author not only lists the major works of his colleague, but also describes the contribution he has made to the study of the Russian history.
