CURRENT AND FUTURE DYNAMICS OF ETHNIC-RELIGIOUS CONFLICT

Summary/Abstract: Ethnic conflicts are, first of all, identity and identity conflicts, that is, between identities that are or appear to be incompatible. These incompatibilities are not a fatality and do not exist in nature. They have been created only in human society, throughout the centuries and millennia. I therefore hold on to human nature, more precisely, on the area of interests and incompatibilities.A first incompatibility would be that of ethnic identity and political entity. The political state has so far not been and is not the same with the ethnic area, although there has been and still exists the tendency for the respective entities (or ethnic and political) to overlap. An identity exists or not. It must not be demonstrated, but only ascertained and accepted. It builds in time, has roots and is based on a value system. Ethnic identity is one of community, living. She advertises and asserts, claims, and always claims legitimacy and, first of all, the legitimacy of values and the legitimacy of the area.
