Summary/Abstract: schools from Năsăud (2 pedagogical schools, 3 theoretical and 3 technologicalhigh schools). It was the only high school whose activity was focused on cognitive andpractical education specific to the girls, including general culture and active life, as wellas the activities specific to future wives.At the same time, it was the high school from Năsăud with the shortest activity,although it had started immediately after the end of the Second World War, with anextraordinary force, annihilated by the measures taken during the Education Reformin August 1948.The girls’ education was an ancient desideratum of the inhabitants of theGrăniceresc District, which was put into practice by the establishment of the PrimarySchool for Girls – Mädchenschule (1826–1881, 4 classes, after the German model), reopenedbetween 1887–1919 (7 classes, after the Hungarian model).Since 1922, the education for girls in Năsăud was developed entirely in Romanian;first after the opening of the Upper School for Girls (1922–1926), transformed into theGymnasium for Girls (1926–1940) put under the protection of Her Royal Highness“Princess Elena” since 1924.The reader will receive new information about the education development, theteachers ‘gallery (with the periods they have taught) and details about the directors’lives and career; these are the subject of the present historiographical study, dedicatedof the female high school students’ samples of pedagogical Năsăud.
