Summary/Abstract: This study focuses on The Description of a New World, Called the BlazingWorld by Margaret Cavendish. It explores the political undertones and the support ofthe monarchy that permeates this text published in 1666, alongside Observations uponExperimental Philosophy. It also discusses its scientific and philosophical content,examining the dialogue used, which is based on the theories of contemporaryscientists. The article will also study the author's self-depiction in The Blazing World,tangentially citing several strategies of self-fashioning contained within Poems andFancies (1653) and Natures Pictures Drawn by Fancies Pencil (1656).
