Summary/Abstract: The present paper deals with a widely commented topic in historiography as well as in other fields of social sciences that is to say the Paris Peace Conference (1919−1920) which de jure ended WWI. After few considerations regarding WWI some aspects concerning Romania and its interests at this huge international gathering are briefly summarized. The new world order established in Paris and completed at Washington (naval accords) introduced new concepts such as “equal treatment of all international subjects of the public international law”, “peace indivi-sibility”, “open diplomacy” or “borders transparency” to mention just a few. These concepts were challenged in different circumstances but Romania endorsed this new international reality which was supposed to be established in the aftermath of the Peace Conference. Short conclusions accompanied this brief analysis of the dawns of a new international order.
