Summary/Abstract: The aim of this article is to portray the possibilities and threats of computer games and applications supporting speech therapy of pre-school children. The broad offer of speech-therapy games causes that thanks to them therapy is becoming more attractive. Emotions those games are triggering – i.e. optimism, motivation and willingness to take immediate action plays important role in therapy. Thanks to interesting content of games the patient is becoming more involved in the speech-therapy which uses information-communication technologies. On the other hand this kind of therapy is a threat to more conservative forms of speech-therapy. In the first part of the article the author is presenting theoretical dissertations about functions of computer games applied in speech-therapy. Next he is presenting the most popular websites, on which authors are making games created by oneself available. In the final part of the article author describes mobile applications aiding the speech-therapy, specifically created for the Android operating system. Every description of game or application portrays both pros and cons of every game or application.
