The category of public safety and the category of legal security of the individual. An attempt to analyze based on selected judgments of the European Court of Human Rights

Summary/Abstract: This text concerns the relations hip between the category of “public safety” and the category of “legal security of the individual”. This issue was analyzed on the background of the case law of the European Court of Human Rights. The main problem is the attempt to answer the question about the subject scope of both categories of security –public and individual – the mutual relations between them and the legal framework for the creation and functioning of protection mechanisms in a democratic state.
