Summary/Abstract: The article deals with the notion of the factual writing represented in the novels La place et Une femme by Annie Ernaux. It contains an analysis of the impact of this kind of writing on the creation of the authentic image of the linguistic and extra linguistic reality which can be perceived by the reader. The article reveals the pragmatic role of such verbal means as familiar language and reference expressions which consists in transmission of the emotionality and increasing the trustful attitude of the reader to the text.
