Changes in the usable space of the Podkarpackie region caused by urbanization and transport processes

Summary/Abstract: The usable space of land is a subject of the specific processes coming from the human economic activity.As the result, there is visible a kind of change to its primary function from the agricultural one to theurbanization-industrial and communication space.As a consequence, it reduces the area of agricultural land in the country and expand the urban areas oftransport routes. In the area of Podkarpackie region in years 1996–2010 there was decrease of the agriculturalland by 25.4%, which indicates negative phenomenons within the food industry, but also confirms theincreasing anthropogenic resources in the region.
