Summary/Abstract: The article analyzes spatial indicators of changing trends in political and geographical subjectivity of Crimea. Linguistic and religious contradictions outlined Crimea among other regions of Ukraine. Limitation of linguistic diversity in Crimea, disregard towards complex contradictions between split Orthodox Christianity and politicized Islam made Crimea create background for separation from Ukrainian project of framing Russophobic state on the territory of modern Ukraine.
