Summary/Abstract: After the incidents in 2014, sanctions proved to be an important impulse to cool the relations between Russia and the West. This paper relates to new perspectives in economic relations between Russia and China. The following were explained: the dynamics of trade in raw materials and non-energy products as well as actions taken by the Russian and Chinese authorities to improve the processes taking place in cooperation between these two countries in the years 2016 and 2017.
