Summary/Abstract: Both business and science unanimously agree that nowadays self-leadership is an exceptional factor of competitiveness in the labour market. Higher education institutions generate future leaders therefore this article aims at revealing teaching methods influencing the expression of self-leadership of students. The article presents theoretical aspects of expression of self-leadership, examines the concept of learning and theoretical aspects of teaching methods, analyses the impact of teaching methods on the expression of self-leadership from the students’ and teacher’s point of view,presents recommendations for improvement of teaching methods developing the selfleadership of students.
