Summary/Abstract: Apostolic Exhortation Amoris laetitia. The „synodal” value of the apostolic exhortation. The author presents in an analytical way a new apostolic exhortation of Pope Francis Amoris laetitia. Teaching Pope Francis about family and marriage is presented by the author in the context of the entire teaching of the Church. The author, following the trail of Pope Francis, refers in particular to the document of John Paul II about the family in the modern world Familiaris consortio. The author not only presents the theological foundations of the Church’s teaching about the family, but also shows the practical, pastoral contexts of this teaching. The author shows Pope Francis as a prophet of our time, concerned for the good of every family in the world. The final encouragement of Pope Francis addressed to families, which the author ends his article: “Families, let us move forward and let us keep on going is moving and hopeful! […] Let us not lose hope because of our limitations, but let us not give up on the pursuit of the fullness of love and oneness that we have been promised” (AL, 325).
