Landscape audit as an instrument of social innovation

Summary/Abstract: The article presents issues related to the implementation of the landscape audit procedure, resulting from the adoption by Poland of the European Landscape Convention. The authors regarded social participation and its role during the implementation of the audit as the leading issue. The procedure of social participation was assessed in two variants, resulting from the applicable legal provisions and methodology proposed in the audit. The assessment allowed to conclude that such an innovative tool as an audit may prove to be an unused opportunity to introduce important social innovation. // W artykule zaprezentowano zagadnienia dotyczące wprowadzania procedury audytu krajobrazowego, wynikającego z przyjęcia przez Polskę Europejskiej Konwencji Krajobrazowej. Autorki za wiodące zagadnienie uznały partycypację społeczną i jej rolę podczas wdrażania audytu. Dokonano oceny procedury partycypacji społecznej w dwóch wariantach, wynikającej z obowiązujących przepisów prawnych oraz zaproponowanej w metodyce wykonywania audytu. Wnioski z przeprowadzonej oceny pozwalają stwierdzić, że tak nowatorskie narzędzie jak audyt może okazać się niewykorzystaną szansą na wprowadzenie ważnej społecznej innowacji.
